Fabric for Birdie Bag

I found this furnishing fabric for only $6 a metre, its not exactly what i wanted but for the price and the fact i could get 2 colours i decided to try. Fabric is cut and ready for me to try the bag soon.

Ric Rac Bag

I decided i needed to make a easy bag for my first effort as i was feeling a little overwhelmed with the Birdie Sling.

This bag only took a hour to make from the start and am really happy with it.

Ofcourse the gorgeous fabric helps.

My travel document wallet made with my first Amy Butler fabric purchase. I made this without a pattern or a template which is a great accomplishment for me. Mum, DS and i used it for our big trip over to the states this year to take Brodie to meet all his american family, Patrick is American. This wallet was so amazingly helpful

My first quilt i made for a friends little boy. I am extremelly proud of this quilt, from my fabric choices to my cutting and quilting. I never expected to be able to sew something like this. Thankfully my SIL sewed one for brodie so i used that as a template. The parents love the quilt which made it worth it.

Little pirate duke and fairy Skyla. This was for Dukes birthday, i offered to make their costumes as his birthday present. the little skirt was my favourite, its nice and soft as she is still crawling and slept in the pram wearing it.

This is my newest flipsy skirt i made for a little friend, not sure of the green band but it was the only material i had left. I love my cupcake singlets, these would be my favourite and its nice seeing little friends wearing them.

My first pair of Make it perfect shorts for my little brodie. They passed the playground test so i was happy.

Make it perfect shorts for a little surfy chick friend, they look like boardies on her as she is so thin. The colours and brightness suit her personality perfectly.

I made this apron for my SILs mother. She would be the best sewer that i know and made Brodies gorgeous Christening gown with matching bonnet and boaties.

This was still at the start of my sewing so i spent about 15 hours making this simple apron, but i know how much she appreciated it.

Flipsy Skirts

This was my first flipsy skirt that ofcourse i had to make matching singlets for, this was made in Oct 08 as a 1st birthday present for a friends daughter. She loves it so much, although i think it is more that i put the effort in to make something. This was huge for me.

Brodies overalls

These were the first pair of overalls i tried to make, major problem with the elastic and me not working so the waist is huge. Apart from that a great start and great photo for Brodies 21st.

Starting to blog

Now that i am a sewer i have also learnt that i need to blog, so this is where i'll start.
